Quick and Easy Asian Sesame Noodles are a delicious and versatile dish that can brighten up any meal in just 20 minutes. With a savory-sweet sesame soy sauce, these noodles offer a delightful burst of flavor that can be enjoyed warm or chilled.

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti, soba, or rice noodles)
  • 3 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • Optional: red pepper flakes or sriracha for heat
  • Toppings: sliced green onions, shredded carrots, bell peppers/cucumbers, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles in a large pot of boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the toasted sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, maple syrup or honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and optional red pepper flakes or sriracha until well combined.
  3. Return the cooked noodles to the pot and pour the sauce over them. Toss thoroughly to coat all the noodles evenly.
  4. Gently fold in your choice of toppings like green onions, shredded carrots, and bell peppers or cucumbers.
  5. Serve immediately or chill for later enjoyment.
